The Nevada Northern Railway Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Nevada Northern Hall of Fame is to preserve, promote, perpetuate, publish and document the hardworking men and women of the Nevada Northern Railway through research, profiling and honoring individuals who laid the foundation, kept the steel wheels rolling and have preserved this railroad for future generations.

When all is said and done, the story of the Nevada Northern
Railway is the story of its people. What starts as the dream of one man
grows to include the stories of brilliant engineers, shrewd businessmen,
daring operators and hard working immigrants in search of the American
dream.
For over 100 years, thousands of hardworking men and women
have passed through the railroad, each leaving an indelible mark on what
would become a National Historic Landmark. Unlike many large
railroads, the small nature of the Nevada Northern created an almost
family-like atmosphere, with the railroad having its own baseball team
and hosting social functions for the workers and their families. The small
work force also meant that employees were often assigned to do work
that would have been out of the normal range of their duties at one of the
larger railroads.
